Meteorologist Bill Abeling, of the National Weather Service in Bismarck, said the smoke was pushed by a northerly wind that accompanied a cold front through North Dakota on Tuesday night.

The Nevada-based airline plans to offer nonstop flights on 150-seat jets on Mondays and Fridays.
